kherua mosque, bogra, sherpur

It was the holiday for the Buddha Purnima, for the Buddhist religion. So I couldn't stop myself to enjoy the holiday outside at Dhaka. This time the Bogra district. I have entered Bogra district through the Sherpur Thana. You'll find an Archaeological structure, called "Kherua Mosque" which is lovely to watch.

The mosque is just around 14 kilometer apart from the Sherpur town of Bogra. This historical place is very easy to find out by asking local people. Only problem is, there is another mosque, called "Sherua" just few kilometers apart from it, which is almost similar to hear when anyone pronounce it. So careful that local people understand what you pronounced, otherwise you'll redirect you to the nearest mosque.

This mosque has three domes at the top of it. And the measurement of the mosque is 17x7.5. The mosque has four pillar at the four corners, and at the Eastern side it has three gates to allow the people to enter inside. The architectural observation avails that, it was build during Mughal era. The builder of the mosque is someone "Mirza Murad Khan Qakshal".

Just about two kilometers apart from the mosque, there was another mosque named "Khandakartola Mosque", which is deconstructed and replaced by a new one. Thats why I didn't feel any interest to visit the mosque.
