shambazar, dhaka, farashganj, buriganga

As a part of my old dhaka expedition, I was near at the Farashganj for the vital places visiting. I found that the RupLal House is located just at the Shambazar area. I didn't miss any chance to take some photos of the market. Its just beside the buriganga river.

At the bank, you can see the green vegetables are taking down from the boats which were brought from the other side of the river. At the same time you'll see that some boats are taking goods from this side to the other bank of the river. Its a nice view to watch the business of the people, and the sound from the crowded people.

You'll find numerous number of Arot at the shambazar market area. Specially those are for garlic, onions, dry red chili, etc spices. When you'll walk through the Arot, you'll get a sharp smell of those spices at your nose. But be careful when you are passing beside the dry chili area.

Also you'll find there are some battle leaf's(pan) Arot too. Using the buriganga river these goods were carried and brought here for the people of Dhaka city. People are too hospitable, and always keen to assist you if you need. I love the people of this part of Dhaka. They are really frank and friendly.
